Originally from Osaka in Japan I moved to England in 1996 to further develop my furniture making techniques and skills. During my first few years in London I formally studied furniture making and I hold City & Guilds Advanced Furniture Making and Upholstery qualifications.

 

Passionate about bespoke designs and creations I founded Tanahara Furniture in 2000 and since then I have built up a diverse and valued client base made up of private individuals and businesses, mainly from word of mouth personal recommendations.

 

I have workshop facilities in both Manchester and London so can easily accept commissions from across the UK and a selection of my work is displayed in the gallery pages.
